This week at Camp Decorah

This week I had Joel and Jordan Thole come out and help me build some more shelves around the shop on Wednesday.

Today Al Johnson and Jon Just came out. Al and I worked on building a prototype for the firewood/trash storage unit while Jon cleaned the heck out of the storage shed.

South Well pump

I found the spare pressure switch, heres a picture of the cover of the old switch. You can see where it arched and melted a hole in the cover.

Water Problems

The pressure switch on the well that feeds most of camp is busted. It shorted out for some reason, melting through its plastic casing. I had found a spare pressure switch a few months back now if I can just remember where I put it.....

That creepy trailer

If you've stayed in the OA Lodge, then most likely you've seen the trailer. Currently it serves as off season storage for mattresses. I would like to replace it some day, perhaps with a pole shed. Maybe you have suggestions?

Merit Badge Day

A few weeks ago when it was -20, the furnace in the pool house went out. We had some leaks and after some precision demolition on the part of Dave Long and myself we found a couple burst pipes. I began patching and the leaks kept coming, I decided to seek the opinion of a professional and yesterday Lee Collins volunteered his time to take a look at the mess. He has graciously offered his time and skills to repair the damaged pipes. What we will need help with is repairing the block wall after the repairs are finished, so if anyone has masonry experience, or knows other scouters with masonry experience let me know.

Demolition!

Benji and I began working on remodeling the Executive lodge.
We removed the water heater, toilet, sink and most of the shower stall. The floor has some water damage, there are a couple soft spots where it will need to be repair. We will also need some flooring.
